Bequests can be made in the form of cash, property, or a percentage of the remainder of an estate. The latter often provides more flexibility in planning.

The following language is an effective way to make a bequest to Fredricksen:

"I hereby give, devise and bequeath to the Trustees of the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, a nonprofit corporation, organized and operating under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the [sum of $ or 'rest, residue and remainder of my estate'] to be used for the general purposes of [the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library or for a particular program of your choosing]."
