Adventure Crafts - Dinosaur Excavation

Adventure Crafts is a reading, craft, and activity program for children in grades 1-3 and their adult partners. Each session will be centered on a theme and will include stories and art projects, as well as the opportunity to explore featured library materials. Register beginning Oct. 12.


Designing Your Native Landscape Online

In this FREE session, Allison Campbell, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay Explore the new “Reduce Your Stormwater” online garden design tool. Learn how to select plants and create a planting plan specific to your landscape. Do-it-yourself instructions included! Books and Brews with Joyce Tremel

Fredricksen Library, One Good Woman and Mechanicsburg Mystery Bookshop invite you to an event with mystery author Joyce Tremel. She will discuss her all new Brewing Trouble Mystery Series set in a Pittsburgh craft brew pub, featuring a brewmaster with a head for sleuthing. Following the talk, One Good Woman will have Zeroday Brewery samples of their microbrews. Mechanicsburg Mystery Bookshop will have books for purchase and signing. Teen NaNoWriMo

Calling all teen writers to take on the challenge of National Novel Writing Month!  Completing a novel in one month seems like a daunting task but when you have a great group of other teen writers to keep you motivated it becomes a hugely fun task.  Teens writing in any genre are invited to join our group for weekly meetings featuring Word Wars, good company and plenty of help to keep you on track to novel success! For teens ages 12 - 18.
