Genealogy and genetic testing are so popular right now, but why do we care so much about the lives of our ancestors? Perhaps you have joined Ancestry.com and even done a bit of searching yourself, now what? What lies beneath the dates of birth and death?
Deborah Sweaney, who is a returning speaker at our library and a Carlisle resident, will help answer some of these questions. Deborah is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience as a historian and has written her own family’s memoir based on her research and word of mouth.
This program is for Adults. Registration is required! You can register in person, by calling the library at 717-766-0171, or emailing the library at firstname.lastname@example.org.
