Chicks With Sticks

Yarn and Knitting NeedlesLearn to knit at the library!  This class meets from 7:00 - 8:00 pm on the 1st Thursday of the month!

This is a program to teach those interested how to knit or crochet. After learning the beginning stitches, there are easy patterns for making a scarf or hat or making small stuffed figures such as animals in the Japanese art of Amigurumi. Anyone working on a project who needs help is welcome to come and our knitting and crochet teachers will help solve the problem.

We have plenty of donated yarn and we can supply knitting needles or crochet hooks if you need them. We also have plenty of Amigurumi supplies.

If you already know how to knit or crochet, come and bring your latest project. If you are having a problem with your project, we can help you. If you are experienced with needlework, come and help others learn, or just come and work on your project and enjoy the company of others who enjoy the same crafts.

If you need ideas of what to make or would like to make a project to give away, we will be collecting handmade items for the farm workers of Adams County throughout the year. We give them to a missionary who sees that the farm workers get the items for their Christmas party. If you like to work on projects with others to just have fun and see what others are making, please feel free to join us.
