(Ages 0-3 and their caregivers)
This child/caregiver program includes rhymes, stories, songs, crafts, play, and activities! Babies and toddlers get a chance to interact and socialize, learn basic concepts, and let their personalities blossom! Caregivers get a chance to bond with their child(ren), finding new experiences together, and getting to know other families. Older siblings may attend as special helpers!
Weekly Preschool Storytime
Children share stories, rhymes, songs, activities, and crafts! They can explore their independence while preparing for kindergarten. Younger siblings may play with caregiver outside of the room.
Children can enjoy our train table, dramatic play areas, ball pit, building materials, parachute activities, songs, fingerplays, and more in this less structured open program. Families can socialize and get to know one another. Come in to relax and explore our vast children's collection!
Imagination is the fuel for this program where kids can build and create anything they can fathom. Legos are provided and creations are put on display each month so anyone who visits the library can marvel at the creativity and ingenuity!
That's right! Read to a real dog in the library! Thanks the generosity of Kindly Canines, children can come to relax and enjoy reading with a soothing and therapeutic partner. The concept of the program is to give children experience with reading aloud to a fun, non-judgmental companion!
American Girls Club
Each month, we follow one American Girl through history as we hear her story, learn about life in her time, and enjoy crafts and other fun activities! A snack is provided as well to complement each month's time period focus.
Teens meet after school in the Library Annex Building to enjoy snacks, art activities, Teen Purchasing Group, games, movies, and other events they choose. The teens get to plan, implement, and lead their own programs. Teen Scene offers a chance to meet other teens your age, try new things, and show off the things you love too!
This new program explores the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics fields through hand-on learning. Science experiments and demonstrations, art projects, engineering competitions, and guest speakers are just some of the possibilities for this exciting new program. And there's a snack! Space is very limited--Please call 532-4508 if you are interested in registering.
