The Día Family Book Club is a reading program that engages children and families in the shared reading and discussion of contemporary children’s literature that reflects our common plurality. Through shared discussion and reflection, families will explore themes and issues that matter, and learn how to help their child to both enjoy and better understand literature. Additionally, the Día Family Book Club provides families with opportunities to learn together and collaborate in their children’s learning and reading development. Together they will employ useful strategies for reading and analyzing stories, learn new vocabulary and comprehension skills, and develop and nurture the habits and practices of critical thinking. For grades 2-5 with registration starting two weeks prior to each session.
