 The Cumberland County Library System is a great place to work. The system and its local libraries employ over 160 people. About 20 of these positions are professional librarians and the rest are library assistants, clerks or custodial support. Most positions are part-time. Each library is an independent, non-profit institution and staff are employees of the local library. The library system's administrative office staff are employed by Cumberland County government.

Cleve J. Fredricksen Library is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and customer focused individual to assist customers in the children's library. EOE.

The New Cumberland Public Library is now accepting applications for a fulltime Children's Librarian position.

The primary responsibility of this position is the coordination and implementation of the Library’s services for children and teens.  This is a salaried position which will start in mid-February 2016.  


The Development Director will design and implement a broad multi-year fundraising program through relationships to secure financial support for the mission and strategic priorities of Fredricksen Library. The effective Director will help forge new relationships to build Cleve J. Fredricksen Library’s visibility, impact, and financial resources, while maintaining and nurturing existing relationships. Highly developed interpersonal skills, project management, event planning, and creativity are critical to the position. EOE.
