Return Items

Where can I return things?

You can return items to any Cumberland County public library.  Each library has an after hours return bin for books and most audio visual items.  Items can also be returned to any participating Access Pennsylvania Library.  These items will remain checked out on your library card account until they are received in a Cumberland County library.

Do libraries have after hours return bins?

All libraries have either an outdoor return bin or book depository slot for its building.

Will I be charged overdue fines for items returned in the bins?

Items returned in the book drop at least two hours before the library opens are checked in as if they had been returned on the library's previous day of business.  If anything is overdue, late fees will be added to your library card.
