"Cumberland County public library system will need up to $300,000 in reserve funds to get through 2012, and even that won’t be enough to avoid a projected deficit, system Director Jonelle Prether Darr told county commissioners Monday.

Darr cited declining state funding and rising costs in asking commissioners for approval for the system to dip into its reserve fund for the second year in a row."
