Announcing a New Zero-Balance Account Policy

Starting March 1, 2017, all libraries in the Cumberland County Library System will require a zero balance on library card accounts.

CCLS libraries offer free and unique places to meet, learn and be enriched. We strive to be good stewards of community resources.  By returning materials on time and keeping your account fine-free, you help us in this effort. You will be able to check out materials, log on to our public computers, and access databases and OverDrive eBooks and eAudiobooks with ease.

Library staff are here to help you manage your account and avoid fines. There are many ways to keep track of due dates, renew items and cancel holds. Sign up for email account notifications. Return materials after hours in bookdrops at any library. Manage your account by phone at (717) 240-7889, or visit http://www.cumberlandcountylibraries.org/Check_My_Account for details about managing it online.

Library fines and fees can be paid by mail, in person or online. All revenue stays with your local library, and goes toward the purchase of new materials and providing library services to our community.

If you have questions about this policy change, please ask. Library staff are here to help make using your library card easy.
