Cumberland County endorses library's efforts to reinstate state funding

Cumberland County commissioners on Monday agreed to send a letter of support to state lawmakers urging them to reinstate a portion of the county library's funding that had been cut.

Cumberland County Library System executive director Jonelle Darr first approached the commissioners on Thursday, asking them to offer their support in a statewide initiative seeking half of the funding from the cut State Library Card Reimbursement Program be included in the next state budget.
