East Pennsboro library to dedicate children's room for longtime volunteers

The East Pennsboro Branch Library at 6 tonight will unveil “Kiner’s Korner,” a redecorated children’s room named after two longtime library volunteers.

The children’s room is named for Bob and Thelma Kiner, two founding members of the library. They spent Tuesday evenings at the library for more than 20 years helping children who were interested in reading.

The new reading area will also celebrate the township’s railroad heritage. Bob Kiner, who died in 2010, worked as a railroad employee.

There will be a ribbon cutting and dedication at 6. Light refreshments provided by Friends of East Pennsboro Library will be served afterward.
