Fredricksen library offers donation opportunity

CAMP HILL — Staff at the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library are offering area residents a chance to donate and help both the library and survivors of Typhoon Haiyan.

Created from out-of-date withdrawn books that were destined for the recycling bin, a 6-foot tree became the volunteer project for Joseph Smolinski at the Camp Hill public library. For a minimum $10 donation, a donor’s name or family name will be placed on the spine of a book on the Holiday Book Tree.

Half of the money raised will be donated to Save the Children in an effort to support those who survived the typhoon in the Philippines. The other half will be donated to the library.
