Over the last 18 years, John and Carolyn Sieck of Mechanicsburg delivered nearly 800 large-print books to Messiah Village residents through Cumberland County Library System’s STAR homebound book deliver program.

They’re now stepping down, and Cumberland County commissioners recognized their service at Monday’s commissioners’ meeting.

“It’s been a real source of pleasure to do this. It was a very satisfying experience,” John Sieck told the commissioners.

Cumberland County Library System is looking for someone to replace the Siecks’ service. Anyone interested may contact Carol Linderman-Justice at 717-240-7771.
