Movies @ Bosler are back! Join us every Thursday evening throughout the summer, at 6:30 pm.
As part of our 2013 Adult Summer Reading Program, Groundbreaking Reads, we will be showing a series of films which have introduced difficult and important societal themes over the last several decades. A complete list of titles may be obtained in the library, but here is a clue for the next showing:
Andrew Beckett (Tom Hanks), an attorney at a prestigious law firm in Philadelphia, suspects he was fired from his job because he has AIDS even though he was told he was fired for incompetence. He turns to Joe Miller (Denzel Washington) a small time attorney to win back his job. Joe is reluctant to take on Andrew’s case, not only because he thinks they will lose, but also because he doesn’t like homosexuals. Rated PG-13, 125 minutes (1993).
Reservations are not necessary. For further information, call (717) 243-4642 ext 3224. Screenings will be held in our Community Room. Feel free to bring your own snacks.
