Photo of librarian working The Cumberland County Library System is a great place to work. The system and its local libraries employ over 160 people. About 20 of these positions are professional librarians and the rest are library assistants, clerks or custodial support. Most positions are part-time. Each library is an independent, non-profit institution and staff are employees of the local library. The library system's administrative office staff are employed by Cumberland County government.

Cleve J. Fredricksen Library in Camp Hill is seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills to assist in the children’s library. Duties include development and presentation of programs, answering of informational questions and assisting in maintenance of collections. Experience with children and excellent verbal and written skills are required. $9.15 - $9.71per hour.

 


Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education required and public library experience preferred. Currently hiring for a Young Adult Programmer (10-12 hours per week). Requires availability to work daytime, evening, and weekend hours. $10-11.50 per hour depending on experience.

LIBRARY DIRECTOR

Duties include cataloging and processing children’s materials, maintaining holding records, preparing invoices, and generating reports from the ILS related to usage and collection maintenance. This position supervises and schedules technical services technicians and volunteers.
