Photo of librarian working The Cumberland County Library System is a great place to work. The system and its local libraries employ over 160 people. About 20 of these positions are professional librarians and the rest are library assistants, clerks or custodial support. Most positions are part-time. Each library is an independent, non-profit institution and staff are employees of the local library. The library system's administrative office staff are employed by Cumberland County government.

The New Cumberland Public Library is accepting applications for Circulation Assistants to work approximately 10 hours a week at the Adult and Children's Circulation Desks.

This job is being reposted for the Dauphin County Library System. The District Driver operates a Dauphin County library system owned vehicle over a specified route according to a predetermined schedule.  At designated stops, a District Driver handles and sorts materials for accurate delivery to the next library stop.  


Cleve J. Fredricksen Library in Camp Hill is seeking an individual to oversee the database and general maintenance of Fredricksen’s holdings. Duties include cataloging and processing children’s materials, maintaining holding records, preparing invoices, and generating reports from the ILS related to usage and collection maintenance. This position supervises and schedules technical services technicians and volunteers.
