Join us for a presentation on milling machines and 3D printers on Thursday, June 12 at 7:00 pm.
Will Adams will be demonstrating the Shapeoko2. The April Issue of Popular Mechanics contains a story specifically on the Shapeoko2 for patrons who are interested in reading more.
The Shapeoko machine was developed by Edward R. Ford and works with the MakerSlide Linear Rail System developed by Bart Dring. This presentation will include a basic introduction to the concepts of small-scale fabrication using Computer Numerical Control (CNC), a brief history of CNC, a discussion of the capabilities of the machine, sample projects, a discussion on Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing, a machine demonstration, and a question and answer session.
This program will take place in the lower level meeting room. Please register at the library, by calling the library at 766-0171, or emailing the library at firstname.lastname@example.org.
