Teen LEGO Challenge

LegosOn Thursday, July 31, at 7:00 pm, teens may compete in a LEGO Challenge!  Read the Contest Rules for more information.   

 

Contestants are asked to make a creation on the Summer Reading theme: Spark a Reaction.  LEGO creations will be judged on creativity and how well the creations fit the theme. Mr. David Runyan will judge the contest.

 

 

Rules for the LEGO Challenge

  1. This is for Middle School and High School students only.
  2. The contestant may bring up to 200 disassembled LEGO pieces and a platform board or baseplate. Mini-figures are allowed, but each will count as 3 pieces. Accessories for the mini-figures are allowed and will not count toward the number of 3.
  3. The contestant will have up to 45 minutes to build a structure that best displays the Teen Summer Reading theme: Spark a Reaction.
  4. The contestant should have a 3”x5” filing card with a title for the structure and a short statement of how it fits the theme.

 

The judge will have time to look at the entries during a refreshment break and will then announce the winner.

 

Ages: Middle School and High School students only.

Location:  Simpson Library, Lower Level Meeting Room
