On Thursday, July 31, at 7:00 pm, teens may compete in a LEGO Challenge! Read the Contest Rules for more information.
Contestants are asked to make a creation on the Summer Reading theme: Spark a Reaction. LEGO creations will be judged on creativity and how well the creations fit the theme. Mr. David Runyan will judge the contest.
Rules for the LEGO Challenge
- This is for Middle School and High School students only.
- The contestant may bring up to 200 disassembled LEGO pieces and a platform board or baseplate. Mini-figures are allowed, but each will count as 3 pieces. Accessories for the mini-figures are allowed and will not count toward the number of 3.
- The contestant will have up to 45 minutes to build a structure that best displays the Teen Summer Reading theme: Spark a Reaction.
- The contestant should have a 3”x5” filing card with a title for the structure and a short statement of how it fits the theme.
The judge will have time to look at the entries during a refreshment break and will then announce the winner.
