BlocksYou are invited to a BLOCK PARTY here at Joseph T. Simpson Public Library on Tuesday, January 27, at 1:30 pm.

What is a BLOCK PARTY? It is an hour of fun just playing with wooden blocks and our play animals, vehicles and people! We will be hosting monthly BLOCK PARTIES so come see what it is all about and have some CONSTRUCTIVE FUN!!!

Ages: Preschoolers - Kingergarten

All fourth – sixth grade students are invited to join us at the library tonight for a library-version indoor snowball battle! This program will meet on the Fourth Tuesday of each month from September – May at 7:00 pm.

Take Your Child to the Library Day is an international initiative that encourages families everywhere to take their children to their local library. We hope you will join us for a fun-filled morning!

Homeschool Book Discussion Club

Please read or listen to any book about chocolate (fiction or non-fiction), and be ready to share a little bit about it with our group. Have fun making a related craft and eating a yummy snack. This club for Homeschool students in Kindergarten through Third grade meets from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month.

American Girls Club

Tonight’s meeting is for girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade. We will discuss the life of Cecile & Marie Grace in 1853 America. Come join us for crafts and a snack! This club is for students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade and meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.

Stuffed Animal SleepoverJoin us on Friday, February 13, 1:00-1:30 pm AND Saturday, February 14, 10:30 -11:30 am for a Stuffed Animal Sleep-Over!

 

Bring a stuffed animal Friday afternoon to a special Storytime. Leave your animal here to spend the night with all the other stuffed animals! Then Saturday morning at 10:30 am, come back to pick him up, eat breakfast with us, and hear all about his adventures!

 

 

This event is being sponsored again by the Upper Allen Woman’s Club GFWC. 

 

Registration is required and must be done on or before Tuesday, February 10.

On Saturday, February 28, we are happy to partner with Grace United Methodist Church at  216 S. Market St. Mechanicsburg where a green eggs & ham breakfast will be served at 8:30 am, after which you may come here to the library for stories and crafts to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday!
