Actvities Club for Tweens

Students in grades 4, 5 & 6 are invited to join us for fun activities tonight. This program will meet on the Fourth Tuesday of each month from September – May at 7:00 pm.

 

Ages: Fourth - Sixth Grade

Registration: Required for all children who are not already members of this club and must be done on or before Monday, November 24.

 



 

Monday, December 8, 2014 - 6:00pm

Christmas PartyOn Monday, December 9, at 6:00 pm, bring your whole family for an evening of singing with Mr. Music, crafts, musical entertainment by Mr. Ben Goldsborough and his Mechanicsburg High School Students and a visit from Santa!

Homeschool Book Discussion Club

Please read or listen to any book about Christmas (fiction or non-fiction), and be ready to share a little bit about it with our group. Have fun making a Christmas craft and eating a holiday snack. This club for Homeschool students in Kindergarten through Third grade meets from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month.

American Girls Club

Tonight’s discussion will be about the life of Josefina in 1824 America. Come join us for crafts and a snack! Please bring a $5.00 girl’s gift for our Christmas gift exchange and a dozen of cookies to share with the group. This club is for students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade and meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.

BlocksYou are invited to a BLOCK PARTY here at Joseph T. Simpson Public Library on Tuesday, December 16, at 1:30 pm.

What is a BLOCK PARTY? It is an hour of fun just playing with wooden blocks and our play animals, vehicles and people! We will be hosting monthly BLOCK PARTIES so come see what it is all about and have some CONSTRUCTIVE FUN!!!

One girl from the American Girls book series is featured each month with discussion, special crafts and snacks from her historical time period. Registration is required each month to participate in this club.

Children learn about a specific genre, make a craft, are encouraged to recommend good books to each other and then have a snack.
