Amigurumi Club / Chicks With Sticks

Yarn and Knitting NeedlesThis is a learn-to-knit group that meets on the first Thursday of the month from 7:00 - 8:00 pm in the Tutoring Room on the Upper Level.

Those who would like to learn how to knit or crochet are welcome to come. We can also teach you how to do  Amigurumi (the Japanese art of using knit or crochet to make small stuffed animals or figures). We have plenty of patterns and yarn.

Please let us know if you need knitting needles or a crochet hook. We also have plenty of Amigurumi supplies.

If you already know how to knit or crochet, come and bring your latest project. If you are having a problem with your project, we can help you. If you are experienced with needlework, come anyway and help others learn, or just come and work on your project and enjoy the company of others who enjoy the same craft.

We will be collecting handmade items for the Adams county farm workers for Christmas. Any items to be donated should be brought to the library by Friday, Dec. 13th.

Ages: 11 to Adult

Location: Simpson Library - Upper Level Tutoring Room

Registration: Register for this program at the Library or by calling (717) 766-0171.
