Book Donation Guidelines

The quality of the books available for purchase at our book sales is only as good as the quality of the donations that we receive throughout the year. If you have books you would like to donate, please follow these guidelines:

  1. We welcome your donation of books, music CDs, Books on CD, DVDs, and Jigsaw Puzzles that are in good condition. Hardcover and paperback books are needed, both fiction and nonfiction, as well as books for children and teens.

  2. We now accept textbooks copyright 2007 or newer that have no missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins and very minimal wear and tear.

  3. We are unable to use the following: Record Albums, Spoken Cassettes, Music Cassettes, VHS Tapes, Textbooks (copyright prior to 2007), Encyclopedias, Magazines & Reader's Digest Condensed Books or wet, damaged, musty, mildewed, or moldy books as they may contaminate other books. Also books that are torn or "marked up" with pen, pencil or highlighters are not suitable for re-sale.

Donations in the following subject areas are especially needed - Fiction, Romance, Mystery, Art, Gardening, Military, Science Fiction, Civil War, Cookbooks, History, Literature (including poetry, drama, classics) and Children's books. DVDs, music CDs, audio CDs, and jigsaw puzzles are also needed.
