CANCELLED - Chief Pontiac’s Rebellion

Join a local favorite, Stephen Runkle, as he explores the causes of the Native American Rebellion led by the Ottawa Chief Pontiac against the English colonies during 1763 and 1764.  A chronology of events, in and around the Susquehanna River Basin, is described over these years of war.  A discussion of the deadly struggle between dispossessed Native Americans and the region’s exploding population of European settlers is presented along with an analysis of the reasons for atrocities committed by both sides.  No registration necessary.
