Homicide on the Hill Fundraiser

HOMICIDE! (not the TV show…)

by Bonnie Goble, Library Director

On September 28, 2013, the library hosted a Murder Mystery Theater at the beautiful home of Tom and Linda Farr, a member of the Board of Trustees for Fredricksen Library. High on a hill overlooking the Susquehanna River, the site of this mystery was perfectly suited to the action: a reunion of “graduates” from the Class of 1948 at Opossum University. One of the grads has murder on her mind. During the evening, which consisted of a great buffet dinner, drinks and conversation, one of the classmates keels over. The rest of the night, the 103 attendees tried their best to figure out who-dun-it. Many of the attendees were conscripted as actors, and some of the library staff members (the Library Director, for example) were accused of being the perpetrator. If you were unable to attend this fundraiser, despair not! This event was so much fun…and so delightfully corny…that we are eager to host other events at which folks’ talents come together to help support the library. In the meantime, if you’d like to become involved at Fredricksen, show your creative side, and help us to sponsor more fun, please contact Kathleen Fey, Development Coordinator at 761-3900, extension 244 or email at [email protected]. We are so grateful to all who supported us on this great night. Keep tuned in for more opportunities to enjoy yourself while helping the library.
