Fredricksen Library Holiday Book Tree

Stop in and see the Fredricksen Library Holiday Book Tree!

Our book tree is a wonderful new addition to the library’s holiday décor. Created entirely from out-of-date withdrawn books that were destined for the recycling bin, the 6 ft. tree was a National Honor Society volunteer project by Joseph F. Smolinski. For a minimum $10 donation, patrons were able to have a name or family name placed on the spine of a book for the holiday season. Half of the money raised will be donated to Save the Children to benefit the people affected by Typhoon Haiyan, while the other half will remain as a donation to Fredricksen Library.  What a wonderful way to honor your family or loved one!  Thank you to all who participated, you have helped us to raise $1,500!
