Friends of Fredricksen Annual Silent Auction 2013

This year’s auction will be held at the library on November 23, 2013 from 1 to 4 p.m. We hope to have a large number of items for bid including: art work, beauty, books, children’s items, Christmas, food, gifts, gift cards and certificates, puzzles, and tools as well as special packages like dental services, beauty treatments, and vacation packages all donated by our generous local business partners. During the month before the auction, we feature all the items for bid on the library website at under Friends. Check back often as many items come in during the last few days before the auction.

This signature Friends fundraising project raises money each year which is returned to the library in gifts that sponsor: programs for children, teen and adults; staff and volunteer appreciation; community events, marketing and technical services requests; the Coffee Corner and a yearly pledge of $5,000 to the building fund. This year, your Friends group will donate $32,170 to our Fredricksen Library to provide increased resources that enhance library services in our communities.

Bidding is from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and you can stay to take home the items on which you are the winning bidder from 4 to 5 or from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday the 18th. Shop early and be ready for the holidays. All money raised is used to benefit the library for children’s, teen and adult programming and for enhancements with items not covered by the regular library budget.

If you have a gift, service, or artwork you’d like to donate for the auction, please call Diane Myers at 761-3730. We accept goods and services as well as gift certificates in all categories. See you November 23rd at the auction!
