Gardening with Nature

Gardening with NatureFredricksen Library has teamed up with Penn State Master Gardeners, the Yellow Breeches Watershed Association and Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay to bring you a series of workshops that will show you how to garden with nature. Door Prizes will be given out at each workshop; and there are additional opportunities to win a hand-painted rain barrel (Grand Prize - must be present to win) with each class attended.

 

 

 

Cost per (April-Sept) workshop $5.00 each; sign up for all 11 sessions for $40.00 and save $5.00. Registration for all programs begins February 1. October 1, 2013 FREE A Gardener’s Journey: From Turf to Tranquility

Shirley Stark, Penn State Master Gardener Learn garden design, plant selection, and other interesting gardening tips from off the beaten path. Shirley began her garden journey in 1989, with dreams of cut flowers for her table and a few fresh vegetables for her salads. She is now converting her “Never Mow” English cottage-style garden into a biologically diverse native plant sanctuary for birds, bees, butterflies, and the occasional stray neighbor.
