"Homework Helpers" are available most Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. during the school year. Teacher volunteers will be in the East Pennsboro Branch to offer individualized tutoring for students in grades 1-5. Tutors will be available to direct each student's study and homework completion, research and report writing, and/or test review.

 

Students, accompanied by an adult, should come to the Library prepared with their homework information, relevant textbooks, worksheets, directions, and supplies. A parent/responsible adult must stay in the library during the session and is welcome to consult with the tutor at the end of the session.

 

This year’s teachers include a specialist in ESL (English as a Second Language). The teachers enjoy working with students and making this a positive experience.

Homework Helpers is a free program, now in its third year.

Santa reading wish listThe East Pennsboro Library and the East Pennsboro Township invite you to visit with Santa. 

Come to the East Pennsboro Library on Wednesday, December 8 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m.  Afterwards, please join the township for the annual tree lighting.

Santa will be here to pass out treats, hear your Christmas wish list, and pose with you for a photograph (available for a small fee).

The Friends of the Library will make a Caitlin’s Smiles craft project for a donation while you wait for Santa.

Bring along donations of play dough or coloring books to benefit Caitlin’s Smiles.

Engage your senses, your creative expression, your rhythm and language.  No red pens, no grades, and no critiques. This is an additional class. Registration required and refreshments offered.  Ages 11 to 16 recommended.
