Friends/Book Sales at East Pennsboro

Friends of the East Pennsboro Library

Thanks to the East Pennsboro Community for supporting Friends of East Pennsboro Library’s big book sale at this year’s  Pennsboro Pumpkin Fest!  We couldn’t do it without your generous book donations and volunteerism!

A big thanks to Lemoyne Borough for the use of their tables and Studio 91 for sponsoring one of our booths, thank you to East Pennsboro Township Commissioner John Kuntzelman and Township Manager John Pietropaoli for helping to set up our tents,  and a very special thank you to Road Hawg Barbeque, our Pumpkin Fest Partner, for their very generous monetary donation.

We’d especially like to thank Skip Magaro and all of the East Pennsboro Township employees who year after year load our books on and off the trailers and move them around.  You do an awesome job!

Finally, a big, big thank you to Ed Bomgardner for his dedication and commitment to the Friends and for organizing our book sales!

AND - As a side note, The Village of West Fairview  will celebrate their 200th Anniversary in 2015!

A family friendly New Year’s Eve party will be held at the Annex Building located on Chestnut Street In West Fairview from 8 pm until 11:30 pm.  Music by FloorPlay, door prizes, 50/50 tickets and light refreshments will be served all for a cost of only $3.00 per person.  In honor of the Nail Factory, a West Fairview landmark, a nail will be dropped at midnight to bring in the NewYear.   Tickets can be purchased at the Historical Society of East Pennsboro, Treasurer’s Office, or by calling Alice Beers at 903-7399 or Ruth Bender at 732-9507.

The purpose of the Friends of East Pennsboro Library is to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; and to encourage donations, gifts, endowments, and bequests. Friends support the East Pennsboro Branch Library by raising funds, recruiting volunteers, and advocating for library needs. Their efforts stimulate increased usage and enhancement of library services and resources, thus enriching the lives of the local community.  All proceeds benefit East Pennsboro Branch Library.
