Building Consensus: Library Services in Cumberland County
There will be three fact-finding sessions open to the public about library services in Cumberland County on February 25, March 25 and April 30, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm .
To be held in Carlisle, Shippensburg and Mechanicsburg, each will feature a panel of experts who will provide brief presentations in answer to questions posed by the Library System Board and County Commissioners. The purpose of these sessions is for the County Commissioners and the Library System Board to learn more about three areas:
1) The community's needs for library services and how that may have changed or be changing;
2) What state and national experts believe about how libraries are transforming;
3) And, how libraries need to adapt to a changing funding landscape.
