The Technology Academy, located on the second floor of the South Wing adjacent to the non-fiction collection, is Bosler Library's computer lab. Instructors teach a variety of free computer classes every month. The lab is closed to the public when classes are not in session.
The Technology Academy has eight computers with Microsoft Office 2007. All computers have access to the internet. These computers print to a color laser printer. The printing cost is $0.25 per page. If you want to save your work, please bring a portable storage device (disc or thumb drive). Work will be deleted at the end of the day.
The Technology Academy also includes a PC with a memory card reader, and an HP Scanjet 8300 Professional Image Scanner. It is equipped with an SD card slot that is compatible with most digital cameras, and with Adobe Photoshop. This machine is available during normal business hours unless a class is being taught in the computer lab. If you need to scan old photographs, 35 mm slides, film strips, negatives, important documents, etc. into a digital image file, or just need to download pictures from your digital camera, visit during any Open Lab, and an instructor will assist you.
