The Monday Night Book Club's October selection is Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver.
Summary: Tired of living on a failing farm and suffering oppressive poverty, bored housewife Dellarobia Turnbow, on the way to meet a potential lover, is detoured by a miraculous event on the Appalachian mountainside that ignites a media and religious firestorm that changes her life forever.

The Monday Night Book Club offers adult community members an opportunity to enhance their Basic Literacy, one of the five literacies promoted by the PA Forward | Pennsylvania Libraries initiative launched by the Pennsylvania Library Association in early 2012.
