Explore New Worlds. Discover New Adventures. Meet New People. Learn Something New.
Summer is here! That means vacation, cookouts, fireworks, and reading! The 2014 Summer Reading Club theme is “Fizz, Boom, Read!” and programs and activities all summer long will be science-related. Children up to the age of 12 read up to 1,000 minutes during the summer to earn a free book, Senators baseball tickets, a certificate of completion, and an invitation to attend a special event at the end of the summer.
And the Summer Reading Club is not just for kids! Teens ages 13-17 can register for their own Teen Reading Club, and there is also an Adult Reading Club for ages 18 and up. Participants in both the Teen and Adult Reading Clubs read books all summer long for the chance to win prizes. The more books read, the more chances earned.
Plus, readers of all ages can attend fun and free programs throughout the summer designed to spark their imagination and satisfy their curiosity.
Bosler Memorial Library’s 2014 Summer Reading Club is made possible by generous sponsorship from M & T Bank, as well as donations from the Friends of Bosler Memorial Library, the Martin M. Sacks Memorial Fund, which is a Fund of the Foundation for Enhancing Communities, the Harrisburg Senators, Carlisle Carrier, United Concordia, Wegmans, and PPG.
