Dr. Benjamin Rush will make a first-person (re)appearance in Carlisle on May 17 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his earthly course. Dr. Rush will visit the new Bosler Memorial Library, a vantage point from which he will modestly view the Rush Campus of Dickinson College across the street. Within the Bosler library, Dr. Rush will review his altruistic public and his private life stories - including his accomplishments as a physician, humanitarian, reformer, educator, man of faith, philanthropist, and author. Dr. Rush will demonstrate the featherweight instrument which for him was the source of progress and reform - the quill pen.
Join us for an evening with the founder of Dickinson College, Dr. Benjamin Rush, as local resident Dr. Craig Jurgensen presents his interpretation of the famous physician and philanthropist.
