Drop in Game Hour - 3 - 4 pm every Thursday after SLP - no registration needed, just drop in. Grades 6 - 12 only.

 

Thursday, June 15 @ 1 pm - Sleight of Hand Workshop w/ Mike Rose - Professional magician and sleight of hand expert Mike Rose will be here to present his "Sleight of Hand" workshop. Teens will learn tricks of the trade including introductory sleight of hand, performance tips, magic history tidbits, and reference sources for further study. All supplies and snacks will be provided. Registration is requested. Program for teens in grades 6 - 12 only. As always, one lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending!

 

Thursday, June 22 @ 1 pm - Sharpie Tie Dye - One of our fan favorite summer programs! Tie-dye without all the mess and with a huge color selection! Sharpies will be provided, but you can always bring your own--you must bring a 100% cotton item to dye (t-shirts, bandanas, or even canvas shoes work)! If it's nice out, we'll be outside so dress accordingly. All supplies (except for the cotton item) & snacks provided. Registration is requested. Program for teens in grades 6 - 12 only. As always, one lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending!

 

Thursday, June 29 @ 1 pm - Candy Poker - Poker for teens is here! Come as a novice or a pro and we'll work with you to have a great time! We'll be using candy to hedge bets and as always, with any game day, there will be other games to play and a movie on the TV. Feel free to come and play poker or just socialize with friends. Our poker-pro TAB (Teen Advisory Board) members will be on hand to teach us all a little something about poker. All supplies & snacks will be provided. Registration is requested. Program for teens in grades 6 - 12 only. As always, one lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending!

 

Thursday, July 6 @ 1 pm - Teen Enviro-Science - How aware are you of your environment? Do you know what lurks beneath the soil? What hides inside a tree or under a rock? Come join former middle school science teacher Lynn Reinhart as we go outdoors, explore our natural surroundings, and discover the hidden world that's actually right in front of us. Since we plan on being outside, please dress accordingly. All supplies and snacks provided. Registration requested. One lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending! Program for teens in grades 6 - 12 only.

 

Thursday, July 13 @ 1 pm - Splatter Painting - Wear clothes that can get a little paint on them, because paint will be flying Jackson Pollock-style! We're going to be splatter painting on canvas with acrylic paint. Fingers crossed that the weather is nice, because this will be a great outdoor activity! Each teen will go home with their very own Pollock-inspired painting. No art skills necessary! All supplies and snacks provided. Registration requested. One lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending! Program is for teens in grades 6 - 12 only.

 

Thursday, July 20 @ 1 pm - Minute-To-Win-It - Another fan-favorite brought back by popular demand! Set the timer and let's see who can come out a winner in each of these mintue-to-win-it games. Former health and physical education teacher Krystal Boyles will run teens through entertaining and mind bending rounds of a variety of minute-long games that are sure to keep you on your toes! All supplies and snacks provided. Registration requested. One lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending! Program is for teen s in grades 6 - 12 only.

 

Thursday, July 27 @ 1 pm - Air Plant Terrariums - Bring in your own small creature/action figure/miniature figurine, etc. and we will make a custom terrarium complete with sand and live air plants. If you don't have a terrarium character, we'll have extras on hands. If the weather's nice, we'll be outside, so dress accordingly. After you're done creating your terrarium, we'll relax outside with some cool snacks, fun outdoor games, and sidewalk chalk. If we're inside, we'll get out some cards and other games. All supplies and snacks provided. Registration requested. One lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending! Program for teens in grades 6 - 12 only.

 

Thursday, August 3 @ 1 pm - Murder Mystery: Cracks in the Wall - "Who dunit?" Teens will act as detectives and help figure out who killed the victim of this atrocious murder! You can work together or solo; it's up to you. slots are limited, so be sure to sign up early! All supplies and snacks provided. Registration requested. One lucky teen will win a door prize just for attending!
