To register for one or more of the programs listed below, please call the library at 717-486-3688 or stop in and register.


Summer Storytime Hours will be in effect until September 1; School year Storytimes begin September 6.

Monday, September 5 - Closed

Saturday, September 10 - Celebrate Grandparents - Bring your grandparent/s or surrogate grandparent/s to the library to enjoy stories & a craft in celebration of Grandparent's Day. Ages 2 & older w/ an adult.  Registration is required and limited to 30 children.


Tuesday, September 13, 20 & 27 @ 4:30, 4:50 & 5:10 pm - Read to Dogs - Sign up for one of the 3 time slots for your child to read to a trained, non-judgmental, ready-to-listen-to-you dog and build confidence while improving their reading skills.  Ages 12 & under - registration required.


Saturday, September 24 @ 10 am - Author visit w/ Tracey Jones & Indy - Join Tracey as she reads her children's book "Boxcar Indy, a Square Dog in a Round World". Tracey will then engage the children in a discussion about self-acceptance and what it means to be unique in addition to the importance of not comparing yourself to others. Indy, the star of the book, will be here for lots of petting. Books will be on sale after the program. All ages are welcome for this event. Registration requested.
