Children's Events

Saturday, April 11 @ 10 am - Kings Gap at the Library - This educational, interactive program will explore the needs of living things including survival, animal skills & what it takes to make a good home habitat for a wild animal.  Registration requested.  Most appropriate for ages 4 & older.


Saturday, April 25 @ 10 am - Super Heroes Party - Turn on your super hero speed and hurry to the library to make a cape, test your skills and power up with a snack.  All boy and girl superheroes are welcome to attend with their adult superhero.  Registration required – limited to 30  Please note:  If your superhero would like to make a cape, please bring along a solid colored adult sized t-shirt that can be cut.


Saturday, May 9 @ 9 am - Dads & Donuts - Come to the library with Dad (or other male relative or friend) to enjoy stories, eat donuts and make a Mother's Day gift for that special someone.   Ages 2 & older w/ adult helper.  Registration required - limit 30.


Tuesday, May 19 @ 6:30 pm - Ready, Set, Go! - This is for kids who will start kindergarten in August 2015.  From May through August, your child will come once a month to do fun activities which will help your child prepare for kindergarten.  Because we want to concentrate on your pre-kindergarten child, we ask that you not bring other children.  Registration is required and limited to 20 - an adult helper MUST come with the child.  


Saturday, May 30 @ 10 am - Dinorific Scientific Name Game Show - Do you think you know your dinosaurs (or want to learn more)?  Do you want to be a part of a live game show as an audience member or contestant?  Don't miss Mr. Mike's Dinorific Scientific Name Game Show!  Our host is children's dino author, Michael Sgrignoli.  Whether you are a dino expert or amateur, you will have a fabulous prehistoric experience and have you talking dinosaurs for the next 65 million years!  All ages are welcome for this family event.  Registration requested.

Saturday, June 20 @ 10 am - Moms & Muffins - Come to the library with Mom (or any female relative or friend) to enjoy stories, eat muffins, and make a Father's Day gift for that special someone.  Ages 2 & older w/ an adult helper.  Registration required, limited to 30.
