Saturday, June 2 @ 9 am - 4 pm - Foundry Day - Our annual Friends Cookie Booth will be open on 3rd Street in Boiling Springs! Funds raised support the Amelia Givin Library.

 

Saturday, June 2 @ 10 am - 12 noon - Summer Learning Program Kick-off - Adults, teens & kids are welcome to the Kick-off Party for our Summer Learning Program. Food & fun will be available. Don't forget to pick-up your reading logs before you leave.

 

Wednesdays, June 6 & 20 @ 6 pm - JAM Session - Bring your instrument and join others in making music; listeners are also welcome.

 

Thursday, June 7 @ 6:30 pm - Solutions to the Sandwich Generation - Mark Mateya, Esquire, will prepare you with questions you need to ask as you start planning future care for your parents. An awkward moment, this will make it easier to start the conversation. Registration requested; ages 14 & older.

 

Tuesday, June 12, 14, 29, 21, 26 & 28, July 10, 12, 17 & 19 @ 8 am - 9 am - Tai Chi - Cost $43.00 for this class (10 sessions) that will be held every Tuesday & Thursday morning through July 19 (no classes week of July 4). Registration & payment must be made prior to the first class.

 

Tuesday, June 12 @ 6:30 pm - Creative Cooking - HELD AT OTTERBEIN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Forge Rd in Boiling Springs. Theme: Fruit-tastic! Summer is the best time for fresh fruit; use fruit as your main ingredient in the treat you bring to share with others. Don't forget your recipe!

**Creative Cooking Exchange (Held the 2nd Tuesday of every month) - Here's how it works:

  1. Check out a cookbook from Amelia Givin Library. 
  2. Choose a recipe from the book and prepare it
  3. After the recipe has been completed and made, jot down any difficulties, ideas to make it better, tips & hints you may have about the recipe
  4. Bring the dish to the Creative Cooking Exchange along with those notes and a thumbs up or thumbs down recommendation
  5. Participants will taste each others dishes and share recipes
